    Hello,

On my 6DOF rig I have a strange behavior

    Setup is sabertooth 2x32 + SMC3

When using SMC3 windows software every actuator work great

When in sim tool, when I test each axis alone 1 + 3 + 5 work great and 2 + 4 + 6 don't go smooth, they move by step

In sim tool I use the standart configuration ...

    But I wrote

    Arduino 1 (actuator 1&2)
    [A<Axis1a>][B<Axis2a>][C<Axis3a>]
    Arduino 2 (actuator 3&4)
    [A<Axis3a>][B<Axis4a>][C<Axis3a>]
    Arduino 3 (actuator 5&6)
    [A<Axis5a>][B<Axis6a>][C<Axis3a>]

When using comm baud 115200 (change also in the arduino sketch SMC3) the problem seems to go away ...

    Any thought ?

you are using two motors per interface. delete the 3rd axis in each interface

I had the exact same problem. You should be running interface output at 1ms and like @insanegr said delete the axis3.

In SMC3 try changing your FPID to 4 for all actuators and see if that helps.
