Hi, I'm new to this, my rig has almost everything except for a seat belt tensioning sim and some form of motion.
I have been looking into the simukit Sk1, but at 699euro, is this too good to be true. I can't get a straight answer to a question either. Does anybody know how close to actually getting my seat moving this kit will get me?, will I need to buy electronic components separately? Will I need to source any other parts? I do have good technical and mechanical knowledge, I learn to pick things up very quickly and I've been told that when I'm ready to fire up I'll be able to download all of the software needed on here and any help with getting it all up and running is readily available on here. So starting with the basics, the kit? What don't I get with it?
Thanks in advance, you guys will get used to me......... and fed up with me. Lol?

Simukit has various kit packages at various prices that contain the hardware listed on each of the kit's product pages, including Arduino and Sabertooth electronics and cables.

You will need to source some frame and associate parts, depending on the kit you choose and the frame design aspect of the project. So things needed for building the frame and then connecting it to the motors, like a uni joint and rods for the motors.

You also need to learn about and work out the design aspects of what the kit components could power, and what the can't. See the design section in the FAQs: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/design-considerations-resources.24/category

In particular have a play with SimCalc to get your head around design choices Vs physics: https://www.xsimulator.net/communit...e-linear-speed-and-forces-of-your-design.270/

See now this is my point, I can't get a straight answer as to what is and isn't provided in the kit Sk1. The website states everything needed to build the simulator but for 699 euros I find that hard to believe. Does thus just mean the mechanical components? I'd love to get an idea of what else I'll need to buy if I were to buy this kit.

I think it should be Simukit as the commercial retailer you take up the clarification with, as it seems to me the components supplied are those listed in the kit. As far as I understand it the SK1 kit, and options, contents and components are listed here: https://simukit.com/accueil/54-kit-sk1.html

Oh mate, trust me I've tried. The first email response looked as if Google translate was having a stroke. Since then I've heard nothing at all so I thought maybe someone on here had bought an Sk1 and could tell me just how far this kit takes me. I've watched the videos and they show all of the electronic parts as though they are included with no mention of needing to source them externally. If 699 gets me there then great, if it takes a bit more then fine, but if I'm a 1000bucks off getting motion then forget it, I feel a sebum though I've stumbled at the first fence here. I can't afford to start something that's gonna spiral so I just need a comprehensive answer, hopefully someone will see this who knows the facts. Fingers crossed.

I can only go on the Simukit product page, and that seems to me to indicate you also need the 120w kit: https://simukit.com/3-dof/36-kit-3-dof-120w.html

Of course you can buy the same or even better electronic components and build a DIY rig, which may better suit your budget.
