Just a video on my YT ch - posted today. Game engine, Game manager, A little bit of SMC3.. this is kind of a follow up to my last video .. You can run 12 volt motors which are on my 3DOF.. or you can run 24 volt converters if your motors are 24 volt. So here is the latest video in the series.. take a look and yeah I can handle some criticism.. I just turned 60 years old so.. There you go.. Here's the video Simtools basic Setup.

As always it is great to have new video and content, it is a journey of discovery where everyone learns new things, and we benefit from everyone's experimentation, lessons and pitfalls encountered along the way.

Just some constructive feedback, when setting up Axis Assignments/Motion Profile, even on a 2DOF, you should really include sway (set opposite of roll and leans away from a corner), surge (simulated using pitch), heave (simulated using pitch), roll and pitch, initially doing each one at a time, see the tuning tips in the FAQs, which also includes other really useful information for your videos: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/steps-to-create-a-motion-profile.228/

To temporarily disable an axis setting your advice is a bit misleading, it is done in Axis Assignment not Game Manager. To disable an axis setting in Axis Assignment temporarily set the Axis to - (which effectively means none), that leaves the Axis Allocation % in place so you can easily re-enable it.

This helps people understand which way Axis should move, it does not need to be in the game: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/which-way-to-set-simtool-axis-movements.230/

Unless the hardware is vulnerable to damage, like SCN actuators, I would not suggest turning the Main Level % down, the reason is that it adds a global smoothing effect across all assigned axis and that can make it more difficult to precisely tune in each axis.

Your explanation of Profile Settings is misguided. You should not mess with profile settings until you have a good generic base profile, after that profile settings can be used to create unique variations of that base profile to dial in particular cars for particular tracks. So, once a good base profile is established on a mid range car and track it can be useful to create specific profiles where you would likely turn the Main Level % down a bit for stiff cars like F1, though even then it would normally be somewhere in the 90+% range. For some sensitive hardware turning the Main Level % down to around 97% can help avoid tripping that sensitive hardware.

Something you did not mention is that DIY builders can be eligible for a free DIY SimTools license: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/request-a-free-diy-simtools-2-0-license.263/

You can also upgrade from the DIY to Pro SimTools license by logging into SimTools.us. There you will find an upgrade path for a DIY license to Pro for $29.99.
