I plan to upgrade to SimTools 3. I have been using SimTools 2 for Assetto Corsa, but I now want to play iRacing. The iRacing plugin isn't available for SimTools 2, or it costs 29 EUR. However, the plugin is available for free in SimTools 3. Therefore, the simplest solution is to upgrade. I also want to learn SimTools 3 and move all my setups to it in the future.

My question is, how does SimTools 3 know how many axes I was using? I was running 4 axes on a DIY system supplied by a maker. It connects the axis controls to the computer via a Silicon Labs CPx USB to UART Bridge. So far, it has been running well with SimTools 2.

My provider was write a command to SimTools 2 in Interface setting, such as ComPort, BitsPerSec, Data Bits, Parity, Stop Bits, Interface Output (X<Axis 1a>,<Axis2a>,<Axis3a>,<Axis4a>X) 5ms, and Shutdown Output (X<Axis 1a>,<Axis2a>,<Axis3a>,<Axis4a>) 20ms etc..

Thank you all for your feedback/suggestions/opinions!

Hello, could you please send some screenshots of the interface plugin for your simtools v2? I can refer to your screenshots and help you set up simtools v3.
