    Dear sirs,

    Please see photo attached.
I downloaded this from the DIY section of the implentation of the scn motion unit.
I zoomed in very close to this picture and noticed that this power supply used was 24v 1.5A.

I have noticed it is hard to get (from uk) 24v 2A power supply.

Everyone suggests after reading some of X-sim threads that 24v 2A is required to power the scn5 actuators.

If one was to use the 24V 1.5A, would you get the whining noise I heard when seeing your very first youtube clip where you guys for the scn5 working.

    Kind Regards.

The SCN5 actuators will make some variation of a whining noise in either case. However, I strongly recommend getting a 2.0 amp or greater power supply. The SCN5's have an internal shutdown if they attempt to draw in more than 2 amps. This means that they can fully utilize 2.0amps safely. At one point, I did not have heavy enough wire ( i used 24 gauge at first) to my SCN5's, and they were not as powerful. I suspect that they need the full 2.0 amps.

No matter which one you get, make sure it has overvolt protection when plugging it in. I am told that the SCN5's are very sensitive to power spikes and could be permaneltly harmed as a result of one.

I am using this power supply. http://www.mpja.com/prodinfo.asp?number=17429+PS Unfortunately they require a $100 minimum order for international orders. You may be able to call their 800# and negotiate this.

    Dear sirs,

I zoomed in very close. Then I inverted colour.
    It says 24v 1500ma which I think is 1.5A.

I will try look for 2A as it says in the DIY section. But if I get a higher one like you guys say, maybe that is for the best.

    Kind Regards.
