hello there , im shinzuu from a 3rd world country , where there aren't many options in regarding sensors and other sensitive electrical components . ive searched the whole market and got only these 3 option for my diy racing sim using leonardo :
    1.Photoelectric sensor ST150 ( https://imgur.com/TPls7YH )
    2.Arduino speed detecting sensor ( https://imgur.com/0VRIMgr )
    3. 10k pot-precision multiturn ( https://imgur.com/IXnVU7n )

other than these 3 i can get some from aliexpress ,but they would take about 30-50 days and most of the time i lose product this way .
    Question :
Is there any way to use the sensor to make a rotary encoder ? from what i've understand the sensor (1 &2) is different from the one that is used in the printer's sensor . any cheap solution would do the job :((

The hall effect sensor i have here is stuff like these https://www.techshopbd.com/detail/3648/Hall_Effect_Sensor_Module_techshop_bangladesh

The one that you showed me doesn't exist here sadly . But will try the potentiometer way out . My Leonardo's gonna be delivered in about 2/3 days so will have to wait before trying that out . But if there was a way to use either that optical or hall effect sensor , that would be a life saver .
