Hi I'm new here but been reading and planning to put my 6DOF rig together for about 2 years. I know this isn't the usual application of simtools but wondering if anyone knows of info on using a "pre-determined" path. For instance, if you had a rollercoaster. Would the motion be determined on the fly in the same way its calculated when your doing a flight sim or driving game? Or could you have a set path that is "baked" (for lack of a better term) into the simulation.?

    Thanks

A game plugin for a rollercoaster is done in the same way as one for flight or race, the motion rig moves according to the data provided by the game, irrespective of there being a predetermined path.

However, a new SimTools tool is being developed where you can play a game and from that a video is created along with movement configurations, which is what I think you sort of mean: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/threads/did-you-think-christmas-was-over.11379/

Great ! Thank you. This gets me going in the right direction. That was my thought was to make a ride film so that it could be rendered very high quality with photorealistic environments. I'll have to experiment with a motion path. As long as the camera is moving simtools doesn't care what the input is...correct?

Can you play directly in Unity3d or unreal engine? Say for developing your own game/ride film?
