    hello,
I made tests with X sim 2 and have problem
when I press start, the simulator moves non-stop left / right / left / right .... and front / rear / front / rear ......
    how to fix that?
    thank you for help.

    Hi Riton,

I look into my crystal ball and see...

Tell us more about the motors and drivers...What hardware you use, what kind of potis and which x-sim interface, USO, Vellemann etc?

I assume that´s the profiler intern calibration, no center point recognized by the software, but only to speculate is not helpful for you,so more details please!

2 new video with Drift with GRID
the webcam is bad, and quick movements are poorly displayed.
    it has the speed!

speed is not yet managed, I set an average speed.

Ok, it moves. But you need speed input now...single speed motion quality is too bad...

Re: Riton' 2DOF project with AC gearhead motors

this is true, with a speed that is not perfect.
I have to save a middle speed, and what did not for all effects.
    the small bumps become jump!

I finish the tests......i need time to ajust my profile and my card.
in the weekend the speed will be managed!
it is a matter of days!

Re: Riton' 2DOF project with AC gearhead motors

Today, I have a lot of problems with X SIM2
    with windows XP:
I have profiler crash, and force sender crash

1: If force profiler is not open, I can not start GRID
2: with profiler and force sender (realese 2.1) ; sender opens 10s and closes .
i need to open in administrator.

3: with a lot of difficulty, when alls soft in open, When I press start the PC crash!
the start button stays red and everything is frozen.

i need to reset the PC
    thanks for help

Re: Riton' 2DOF project with AC gearhead motors

I found the problem, I dropped the screen resolution of Grid, and it's good.

I had a problem of power, CPU work, too much consumption = crash!
    sorry

Re: Riton' 2DOF project with AC gearhead motors

I did experiment with the speed.

    how to work the speed?
is the effect that sends the information?
must submit a special effect for the speed?

I have my exit Velleman gives me a change of speed, but I do not know how to set, adjust the output.

can you explain how it works the speed?

I note that the speed does not use the entire range

    thank you

my config is the sams than this example:
    3. Usage of a analogue airflow valve with a 5/3 valve as direction switch
A combination of a analogue valve with a direction valve will solve the pulse mode problem out of 2.) above. You will control the airflow and therefore the movement speed with a analogue valve which is able to half open its switcher. You have to generate a PID synaptrix or you can make your own speeds without the need of PID control. You will need a supported analogue output interface like the vellemen K8055d. Also most of the analogue valves does not support 0 to 5 volts at their inputs, so you might use a analogue amplifier circuit.

the problem is that I do not know how to do X in the software sim.

I do not know what a PID synaptrix

Re: Riton' 2DOF project with AC gearhead motors

have a look at Thanos thread/explanation about PID control in microcontrollers:
    implementing-pid-control-in-microcontroller-t1011.html?hilit=pid
PID Synaptrix is a software version of PID control.

Generally, the Velleman should output an analog voltage dependant to the derivation of current postion and target position.
The greater the distance, the higher the output voltage.

I finished the tests, speed management works perfectly!
    I finished my simulator!
I will now make the finishing, painting ....

Re: Riton' 2DOF project with AC gearhead motors

Looks way better now with dynamic speed!

But imho there is something wrong in your motion profile still. Your seat does not react fast enough to lateral g-force change still.

Please post your rn2 file again, so that we can check it.

I think you may be using the wrong effect for lateral movements.

Re: Riton' 2DOF project with AC gearhead motors

i using lateral force, but I can reverse the direction ...
    I'm going to see reverse.

    I feel good though.
the angle is less important, and the drive speed is also lower, so maybe that.
