    I have been trying to find information on extracting telemetry from Rise of Flight by 777 Studios with no success. Finally I found a direct answer from the developers;

    This is a cool feature
[telemetry], but a luxury. With ROF we had no time to work on such luxury items. Maybe in the future our engine can support this.

    Jason

Sadly I thought that might be the end of using my favorite flight sim with my platform. But I remembered on the old threads there was a post about getting telemetry from a game even if it is not specifically provided. I do not remember where I read that but if it is at all possible I would dearly love to use my platform with Rise of Flight.

To those who want to check it out, the game is a free download. You get two planes to fly free but have to buy all the others. This is a great for someone that just wants to test the game out, as it is full featured otherwise. Nothing is locked pending purchase except additional airplanes.

You can download and install the game from here:

    Thank you

There is no sdk or dev kit for this game ?
Makes it a lot quicker to create one, or it has to be done via memory hack and that takes a while to get right.

    Does SimTools has that option?

Yep. If you have the memory addresses — done deal :D

Unfortunately, as mentioned above, there is no SDK for this game. :(

Can anyone link me to the thread that discussed finding ways to get data out of a game that does not provide any type of SDK? When I get time I would like to experiment and try to help.

Does ROF display the data we need in it's GUI somewhere?
If it does, it's much easier to find the values in memory.
I use Cheat Engine myself, but ArtMoney works fine also.

Yes, in easy mode it does show gauges on screen with all of the pertinent information. But it is not possible to play multiplayer with that information. Once the memory hooks are found does it matter what mode the game is played in?

I was just reading up on Cheat Engine.

Another question; can we create a plugin from force feedback information? Rise of Flight has force feedback, but I have no idea how to read this information. Any ideas?

Pointers to the mem locations may change , cross me fingers they don't.

Force Feedback unsure, a pretty protected subject, I remember some french dudes got a FFB hack running on a French site. Not in English, bummer, translates badly too.

Still no luck with this. With my 6DoF platform getting close to completion this plugin is more and more important to me.

I have tried extracting memory hooks but I cannot find a location more than once. I set the plane on a heading, pause game, open the CE program and eventually narrow down the desired number. The number that I am using is the compass coordinates from the on-screen data using easy mode. But if I do it again I get a completely different memory location.

    Frustrating....

Hopefully the same could be done with the new IL2- battle of stalingrad wich is in early access alpha stage but made by the same company.

I believe that BOS is the same engine as RoF so it should be possible if we can get one for RoF. I will test it with both games (I am an alpha sucker) if we can get it up and running.

Any updates on this? Was trying this myself a while back but ended up with he same problem above the mem address changed. managed to get bomb and bullet counters working and was working for a few weeks then that address changed to or something. I gave up as I am not clever enough. :)
