    Hi All
I am a new member ( an old one but getting back to sim racing, been away for over 5 years), and I wanted to start my hobby again seeing I have some time now. I already have my rig and was using the old version of simXperience but looking to start all over.
I am presently using SCN5 actuators and I would like to install assetto corsa and try my rig again.
I downloaded the new simtools 1.3 but if someone can guide me to a "how to " install and setup page I would appreciate it.
Please let me know if you need more info on my rig.
    Thanks

Hi BSFT, thanks for the welcome and suggestion. Tomorrow I will clean off my rig and post a few pics in this topic. My rig is nothing special (don't forget it is going to be 6-7 year old) so maybe a bit outdated but now that I am starting to get back into the sim, I need to understand all over again.
    Thanks again for your help.

If it moves it is 'something special' ;)

I look forward to the pictures when you get around to posting them.

    Hi Guys
Thanks a lot for the welcome. I feel lost since I haven't sat on my rig for at least 5 years (been busy with my family and kids) so know with all these new sims coming(pcars and assetto) the bug is back. I am attaching a few pics of my rig and sorry about the quality of the pics but my son has taken over that area of the room with his PS3. Actually he has been sitting and using my seat more playing GT6 than me(8 years old). In the pics I am showing my (outdated LOL) rig so you could see my setup and suggest how to install the software so make this rig function again.
Please let me know if you need more info.
Thanks for helping me get back.
    Mike

    They are scn5 actuators 150 (I think).
I have 2 usb plugs that go from this box (see pic) to my computer.
    Does that help?

Does that mean this is very outdated?
    Can it be used?

    Welcome @Wizzard .
That's a pretty neat rig you have there.:thumbs
Yeah there is a LOT of info on these forums. But I am sure you will get the hang of things seeing that you already played around with a motion sim. For anything else, the members here are absolutely fantastic when it comes to providing help with anything.

Good luck and I'm sure you will be enjoying your setup again very soon. Oh, and btw, Assetto Corsa is a blast!:D

@Wizzard - Do you have Simxperience box? SX3000 or SX4000? What software have you used before?

I use to use simXperience before (in 2009) with sim commander 2 (still have the exe file on my HD) but I am not sure if this will still work.
How do I find which simxperience box I have?
    Thanks for all the suggestions

Here I am. You have two usb cables that goes out of that power supplier to you pc? Are you sure? That is a common power supply that power the actuator, but it should not have any electronic device that can "talk" with a computer. Talk us through your system from the start to the end.

Hi @nclabs. The gentleman here were keeping me busy until you came. I am presently at work but i will give you all the info once i get home. As far as i remember, the 2 actuator wires went to this electronic box and from there i had a wire come out that becomes 2 usb's that go into my computer.
I use to use simXperience in the past as mentioned with commander 2.
I could give you more info once i am home if you need?
    Thanks again for your help.

Several users in this forum are using simtools with simxperience box with no problems at all, I think you just need to install the software and set up the configuration just like the quick guide say.
