    Hi,

I would like to get your opinion regarding this cockpit for a 2DOF rig.

Do you know about any successful modifications of the cockpit to add the motors? I was thinking about modifying the rear part where the seat is but just keep the rest as is. It is heavy and sturdy, which I think is a plus - although I have no experience.

I saw one on a topic about two years ago. Was a tech school student project. They built the ricmotech and then built an ac motor platform, 2dof, and mounted the ricmotech. They did a nice job, but it's movement was slower than pond water. It was really not typical of an ac platforms performance.....but it did look pretty nice.

Seat mover could be added to this easily , a good option because it will allow you to mount 3 big screens and not worry about the weight issue.

Like this for example - Cross Section of Seat Mover.png

No problems. Might have to extend the rear a little bit is all.
