    Guys i would like to ask you a game recommendation, i would like to find a race game with this characteristics:

    * that can run in a slow pc

    * easy to set, i mean, not complications about tunning cars and selecting cumbersome configurations and 30 mins later being able to play.

    * Obviusly with simtools support.

    any idea???

    best regards

    fer

    Hi fer if you are technically gifted (I suppose that because you want to build a motion sim) nearly all newer racing games are made for beginners and professionals (except iRacing) and you shouldn't show a lot of skill. I suggest to try out the LFS demo which offers a realistic driving and can be started like plug and play. At the moment Assetto Corsa is the most realistic racing game (IMO) and offers low graphic settings for slower PCs. Unfortunately there is no demo.

    @ferslash First, run the computer with this online test www.canirunit.com , select the game and let it test it out.
    Then come back to us once you know what racing game the computer will play.
    Simtools doesnt suck much power, a mate of mine runs 32 bit win 7 , 4 gig ram on a dual core 2.4 gig intel and a big graphics card, but he runs low res as the pc doesnt keep up with the card. He can run simtools and GRID2.
    Test your computer with the website and let us know.
    Cheers, David.

    LFS is the lightest game ever on old pc's - wide range of cars with lots of racing tracks even dirt - easy to set 10 minutes to go - already built in SimTools plugin for motion simulation ...

    Ooooh ... you seems like you're using a very very slow PC ...
    I run LFS Normally on a P41.6/128 , 512MB RAM , 40GHdd IDE , 64M AGP VGA ... that is after upgrading the VGA from 32MB to a 64MB .

    HeHeHe ... I can send you this PC for free just to get rid of it .

    fer why not giving it a shot? You made a decision by a theoretical theory... (wow I like such wordcombinations :) ) As @speedy noted LFS doesn't need much hardware power using low sett.ings

    Gtr2 , Race07 both will work on a slower machine, even Rfactor.

    If you can get an old copy of Gtr2, runs well on a slower machine. Rfactor you may need to tweek the graphics down, but ages ago I ran both on a single core 2.4 but did have 1g video.
