At a glance this is certainly intriguing and could perhaps be a solution to making fancy steering wheels and button boxes more usable in VR. Browsing through the Steam discussions it sounds like there are some caveats, though. For example WMR cameras can't be used because they're black and white; the Vive camera works but requires rebooting and some luck; the tool assumes seated-mode tracking; and it requires a keyboard and mouse readily accessible for configuration which is a problem not only in rigs where there's no good place to put them, but for WMR in general since it auto-locks out the keyboard.

It also doesn't sound like anyone has tried this with a motion rig yet. Maybe it works fine for a 2DOF seat mover where the controls are stationary in the tracked space? I assume with more elaborate movements you'd need motion compensation or a camera that follows the rig to keep the video position in sync with the rig.
