    Hi All,

I started my Motionbase for the SCN5 actuators,
    web.JPG

First I started a pneumatic sim.. but I stoped with this project.. It was working fine.. but not realistic enough for my..
I tested the sim from Nima (niels). 1 week ago... It's a very realistic feeling you have with the sim.... and i was sold :)
Thanks Niels for your time and help!!

    I ordered 2 scn5 150mm from bernard... (SimXperience.com) Now I'am waiting :D

    I keep you posted..

Thanks a lot for al the information on this forum!!

    Very nice frame, congrats!

You'll be fine with SCN5's but with Your space and equipment I would consider going hydraulic :D

Maybe we should post those pictures with included measurements in the building proper motion base...., hmm ? We could start a collection of sim-setups with good/correct/proper dimensions. I will take a photo of my sim the next days, enter the dimensions and post it here as well. We could include the height of the main bearing in these posts - is this also important ?

    hi
this is right.between the top unibolts the best is you can use the way between
18 cm and 30 cm.you mast make a holder for this.if you have lower size you have more way for acculation in a curve.

I will lower the upper bar .. and make it adjustable..
niels you are using the elastic straps.. Is that because you lower the actuator so much and on a very high angle?

    Hi Ralph,

Make sure you make provisions for some dampening in your design. The actuators are a lot quieter when you have dampening on them as the feel is also a lot more natural.

    Great Ralph,

Can you share a pic of your scn5 holders? I'd like to see some other options for dampening the actuators.

    Thanks
