Hi Rafa, congratulations to your project.

One question: how is the feeling riding with cockpit movement using wipemotors? is really good and imersive?

    Thanks

Hi Odacir, if well constructed and configured it will be very nice. I am working on it yet and really having fun.
Yesterday I was wonking on my game prfile for rFactor and switched to AI and closed my eyes, its just like the real feel.

    Hello!
I saw here in the forum one thread where someone placed on case fan over the wiper motor for cooling it (I can't remember who did).
So as I am improving my profiles (thanks to Nima!!!) it started demanding more of the engines and the heat has come together!
So I decided to place one heatsink on the motor plus the fan.
It works very well altough I was out of aluminum so have just a few of it.
In my first tests (one motor with and other without) temperatures drop from 75ºC to 45ºC average. And I believe that with it done better (entire pieces not the scraps I made) temperatures should drop more. Even a third row could be there.

    You will need:
thermal paste (put loads of it so buy the cheap one), peaces of aluminum, brace clamp, and the fan.

This picture shows how to cut the aluminum to have the best layout:

    regards!

    Hello Rafael, okay?

Very good progress of your work, every day I get to see what's new.

In compensation I'm still having difficulties in programming the ATmega. I do not know what else to do, because I did those things you said and I can not read the chip.

Do you have any tips for me to try, as I said all the lights work, the LCD is also ok but the ponyprog not read the chip. He gives as an unknown device.

Could it be something related to capacitors?

    Grateful and look forward

    Hi Kiko!
When I was having trouble to read the chip I tought that the problem could be the capacitors/crystal but at the end I discovered that was the cable. I already was using straight to the mobo cable, but I had wrong pin to pin connection. Only when I reread the mobo manual and did a closer look to the pinage I did solve the problem.

What cable are you using? Are you still trying to use and notebook usb? :? And what is the OS?

My bet is that windows/cable are the problem. Cables can have wrong specification and windows can block you from using usb/serial drivers.
But can be something else aswell... :tape:

I know that I can be frustrating not get things working, but what I discover after the problems I had is that only looking carefully step by step and reading all over again we will find the solution.
When I first started to make my simulator I printed the AMC / HB manuals and one and other pictures that called my attention aswell just to help visualize and to have quick reference at hand. Helped a lot!

Note that I am not an specialist in hardware (AMC...) neither software, it's only my guesses. :)

    regards!

I built a power supply with a transformer and a rectifier bridge, but you can also use a car battery ... with respect to fuses, start with 10 amp, it should work correctly, if the structure is balanced, your engine will consume about 5 Amp ...

A cheap 550watt PC PSU can run up to 25 amps at 12volts. This could run two wipers depending on load. I need two power supplies on mine, one for each motor. However at $80 for the pair, it is cheaper than a benchtop power supply. They retail around here for $200. And two PC PSU's put out more grunt.
Refer to this link for how to convert a PC power supply. Its very easy, just connect the green and black on the 20 pin plug. That turns it on, then find the 12volts.

Just that the charge is not regulated and tapered off like a smart charger would do, and therefore the battery will deteriorate far more rapidly with overcharging and sulfating. Not really a good idea. And/or not maximizing your battery power because it is consistently undercharged by sitting at <=12v.

I used to have a 330 CCA car battery on the setup. I found the PSU's more reliable for spikes in movement.

Rafael really cool! When I finish building my joyride-type structure, which also share with you!
    hug

Muito legal Rafael! Quando eu terminar de construir minha estrutura do tipo joyrider, tambem que compartilhar com vcs!
    Abraço
