    Thank you. I made my own based on your design. My chair is quite heavy because it has a lifting and moving mechanism. Should I remove the seat lifter, lower and mover to reduce weight? Since it is made of wood, I have reinforced some of the bearing points, but its weight is still quite light if the seat is not installed.

    Can you please provide a bit more detail about your lifting and moving mechanism, as it is not really clear from the photo.

    For a compact design you should aim for good structural rigidity, so you don't lose fine motion cues and keep the mass as low as possible for the upper platform, to aid performance

    If the seat lifter is not required for any reason then it should be removed, as that lowers the mass.
