    Hallo everybody,
I'm a new member (from Italy then sorry for my poor english) and I wanto to start with a project of simulator.
First question. Better motors 24 volt or 12 volt?
About rpm for seat moving ando for yaw /surge.

Thanks a lot for the answers.

    Enjoy your race!!

2 DOF sports seat. With 12V is entirely possible, back push is enough, the response speed is very fast, I use the worm motor is 12V150W. Feels good.

Thanks a lot for your answer. About the rpm, do you think that 60/70 are ok for all movments?
Can you suggest some motor type ?

    ok thanks a lot.

Other question, maybe a little premature, cause I'm starting in these days the frame.
Using SIMTOOLS wich assignment I have to use to move the axis (2 motors behind the seat, 1 motor for drift and 1 motor for surge)

    ...enjoy your race

    Hallo to everybody,
did someone buy motorgear from China ?
Because here in Italy I can't find a good motor with good price.
If yes, could you suggest some dealer or motor type ?
    Thanks

    ....enjoy your race

    Hi guys,

I have another question. I decided to use motors 24 v.
2x 200w (pitch and roll) and 2x 350w for drift and surge. Wich is the best way to control and drive them,
Thanks a lot for the answer...
This is really the best place for talking about sim (and for me to ask...:grin)
    Thanks again guys

...... can I drive directly from PC (then SIMTOOLS) without ARDUINO ?
    Then PC - 2 USB ports - 2 sabertooth - 4 motors?

    Thanks again

    Hi everybody,
I looked for informations on web and finnally I decided about my sim.
The rig is in progress (I will post some pictures). Will be ready for 4 dof but at the moment yaw and surge movements will be mechanically locked and without motors
I will start with pitch and roll only. Then after some experiences will go ahed with other movments.
The motors I have choosed are 2 zyt80 driven with 2 jrk 12 and 2 PSU 12V 50 A (still waiting for delivery)
I'm still searching for a good sliding system for surge (smooth and silence) I would like to use 2 linear guide with 4 sliders.
I want to install them now, in this way the rig will be ready in the future to add surge.

I will let you know about the progres :thumbs
    ...enjoy you race
