Powered By X-Sim Logo?

    Soon, the SimXperience II DIY motion platform will be making it's debut at several race tracks and trade shows. Out of appreciation for this community, I would like to include a Powered By X-Sim2 logo of some sort in our sticker/graphics packages.

    Does anyone have an official logo that I should use for this purpose? Also, it is an assumption that it is desirable to have this advirtisement. Do I need some permission to do this?

    i suggest just to take the blue/grey header logo (that one in high-resolution you have)
    Would be nice to to have a powered by slogan with our url :blush:

    I thought of this earlier already.
    Somebody would not prepare a uniform one? A long one, and a square-shaped one.
    I would make it, but I do not find a high-quality basic logo , and I am an a little bit lame one to do beautiful one. But I would try it....

    Any help is appreciated as i am no designer :)
    Maybe there are some ideas for a new logo, a better one with some design elements related to a
    motion simulator game community.

    Race, Fly, MotionSim elelemts one in all...maybe too much for a simple logo?

    i am not the only one who would love it to see some new designs :) I really appreciate it to see some new design suggestions, so feel free to upload them here.

    We can poll about the best one after that. :cheers:

    The old logo is not bad, (grateful to wixi) but our community increased a lot and the logo should present the power of our common open source knowledge and experience of building motion simulators.

    If someone is attempting a logo re-design, I would appreciate it if they would consider the fact that the more colors they use, the more it costs to print. The current X-Sim logo uses alot of gradient colors. It is VERY expensive to have a logo like the current one printed. I was looking at the cost for high quality vinyl stickers and I was amazed at the cost of the current logo. A four color logo would be MUCH more cost effective.

    You´re right Berney! That´s an aspect i don´t considered before. I even thought about stiching the logo on a shirt to wear it outside, but that was impossible, due to the overload of effects in it, shining, colorflow, reflection etc

    Guys, look at the new http://forum.racesimcentral.com/ logo, i realy like it, and only 2 colors are used . I dont want to copy you that logo, but it could be a beginning of some new ideas. Maybe the designing process of their new logo was the reason for the whole offline time - good things are very time consuming :rofl:

    Looks good! Please add another version which contains the powered by slogan less mirrored, to add readability, for the case that the logo will be displayed in a small fashion.

    As well the powered by should be placed above or underneath X-Sim imho.

    It´s not about any slogan powered by, it´s about redesign, so imho it´s not OT. The 6DOF platform uses only a few gradiant, but with the psd layer it can easily be modified single colored. I like the idea to have a 6DOF platform as part of a new logo, but it´s difficult to make.

    @potinter, your logo looks cool :) But bvillersjr mentioned that it´s more expensive to print the more colors are used, so a plain and clear logo with only 2-4 colors is needed.

    What do you mean 4 color ? I count only two. Green-or blue, and black (plus tones).

    Yepp, but in printing bussiness a 2 colour logo is where we only need to use 2 colours like black and red. no more no less.. and only one tone of each colour no gradients like a green fading to a lighter green. thats why I made my logo blue and black with sharp edges so it whould be easy and not too expensive to print!
