I've bought a pair of the Motion Dynamics 200w 12v motors, having decided the pissy little Nissan wiper motors I had probably won't cut it. Already have a pair of jrk12v12s, so while I continue with mounting the hardware, I've been looking at power supplies.

Particularly those here in Oz, has anyone used these? http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?ID=MP3098
A bit pricey but from what I have learned I'm going to need at least 16 amps.

BTW this forum is great, helpful and friendly.

    Thanks, Glenn

you are going to need a hell of a lot more than that for those motors.
Either run a car battery in parallel or buy 2 x 40 amp each power supplies.
I cannot find the link ATM for the power supplies I use.
I remember 12v 480-500watt LED power supplies off ebay from China I think. I recall $120 for both. They run the big motors as I have the big motors.

Yep my original winch setup ran one of these, nice filtered and protected supply, never shutdown or did anything weird for the 4 years I ran it and the fella who bought it off me still using it today.
P.S I got mine on a 50% mid year sale. Went back to get a second one and they were all gone. Bummer so I only ever ran one.

+1 for Server power supplies, 1/10 the cost and do the exact same thing.
