I was looking around I came across this seller on ebay. He sells a simplified version with just direction pin and pwm etc.. And he sells this one with rs232 support. So possible a syren or sabertooth alternative. I liked that it had so many caps on the pcb. Is this maybe why other more cheaply h-bridges/ motor drivers fail. Cause in the product info pages he says that that makes a big difference. And if so, is there a way to ad such a capacitor bank for existing h-bridges/ motor drivers. I'm more interested in the simpler h-bridge but there is only one left. I will ask if he plans on restocking that one. But for those who use the sabertooth rs232 methods, maybe this is a more powerfull and affordable alternative.

I made a mistake the previous link I shared was just a speed controller I added the link for the h-bridge. This one doesn't support rs232 protocol but is still a capable driver on paper at least.
