    I was looking some feedback position better than potentiometers to use with tony AMC controler.

    An encouder with DAC output. please let me know what do you think about it?

    It is an absolute waste of time and effort. If you think about it for 2 seconds, this is the most complicated piece of garbage to do this job.

    You want analog input with no wear? Why don't you use a hall effect pot... ?

    Seriously, this guy buys an already expensive encoder, buys a microcontroller and writes firmware for decoding, pulses 2 pieces of 4bit counter IC's cascaded, which outputs analog voltage through an 8bit R2R?

    I mean, WOW. You loose 90% of your accuracy while spending multiple amount of time and money on it.
