I am working on a new design and I am having issues with one of my motors shutting off after about 10 seconds when there is load on it.

My current setup is using an arduino UNO running SMC3 on a VNH5019 driver connected to two Invacare wheelchair motors running off a 18v power supply. I have used the same parts on a seatmover build which had a constant load on the motors with no issue, but now for some reason it causes the motor to shut down until I run the pot back to center. Once the pot is recentered, the motor works fine again.

Any ideas on this? It is not the limits on SMC3 shutting down the motors, as it is sitting centered until the motor shuts down. It is like there is a time switch somewhere that is timing out with the load and turning off power until its recentered. Let me know if more detail is needed.
