Hi everyone, Ive Just ordered my PCB's:- AVR motion controller v1.5, Dual H-Bridge & The LCD Board, this has probably been asked & answer a million times but here goes.
I see a parts list for the AVR motion controller, but none for the H-bridge or LCD.
Are the parts for these boards listed in this list:-
    download/file.php?id=616
Or are they listed somewhere else as i have looked through loads of threads but cant find any. Thanks.

    Hello,
Here is the link to the H-bridge topic that has a parts list in the first post tronic-s-diy-dual-mosfet-h-bridge-dsmhb-t820.html
I am not sure if there is an updated list for the H-bridge so I would advise you to read the rest of the posts in that topic. I am at the same stage as you are and that is what I found so far.
The parts list that you have is only for the AVR motion controller.

    Cheers
    Dymsix

Hello, Since you are on the beginning of your project, it would be nice if you continue this tread and show where you purchased the parts, I have not started building sim yet, but maybe I will, if I manage to learn enough about how its done.

No problem Fred, I got lots of the parts form Maplins, I simply printed off the parts list and handed it to the guy behind the desk, he put them all together and ticked them off the list so i knew what i had and didnt have.
The parts they didn't have i have managed to get all from a online electronics shop. http://uk.rs-online.com
they will deliver to anywhere in the world and the prices are pretty cheap.
so between both shops i have managed to get nearly everything, still a couple of things like the pin headers im looking for but i think most computer shops will have them.
As for learning how its done, you'll have to do what everyone else has done & read all the forums on here, they are a great source of information, and when you do get stuff you can always post a new topic and ask for help, the guys on here are brilliant and very helpfull. If you are making it with wiper motors then check out the link below. It has 71 pages and its a wealth of information.

I am in a learning-process about elektronic, hoping to build AVR and Dual H-bridge myself. when I serch for the parts on net-shops as digikey as an eksample Crystal 24 MHz for the AVR they came up with many alternatives as shown here:

    crystals.jpg

This happend also searching for other parts for the boards. Its hard to know what to choose. Does anyone have good advise on this? By the way, good idea to print out list, and take it to the shop. I will start with trying to find nearest elektronic shop (if there is any here way up north) 8) Anyway...seems like Maplins also have a web shop, maybe I can try to send your man behind the desk an e-mail :D

maplins had nearly all the stuff apart from crystals, & the atmega. but i did find both at rs components. I have bought what it said on the list, there were loads to choose from but i just made sure that it was what the list said and bought any. I'll find out if there the right 1's when i build it.
Good thing is that they are cheap, so buying wrong 1's dont really matter. the whole lot i needed for the AVR board, and the H-Bridge board has cost £33 english pounds. The boards have cost me £34 english pounds, thats for the Avr board. the H-Bridge board, & the LCD board, that was delivered including the holes drilled. Bargain.

Ok, actually rs components had a Norwegian web-store! I will try to etch the boards myself. Today i printet out the plans of the AVR. Do I get the right measures of the boards when i print out the pdf in A4 format, (need to know before ordering pcb laminates) By the way,,,searching for ATmega8535 16PI give no result, but they have one ATmega8535 16PU, is it the same???

I have also bought the Atmega8535 16PU because I have read on here many times they are the same, just not as enviromentally freindly as the 16PI. Not surre about the boards size as i just emailed them in PDF and they did the rest, I do know a guy who is based in poland that can do your boards and I think he charges about £30 Euros for all 3, althought i cann't say if there anygood because i haven't seen his work. Or there is another guy who has made mine in Greece, he is also very cheap and good. I was advised early on not to try make my own if i hadn't done it before as it is quite tricky and can cause problems if not done properly. The best person to ask would be Tronicgr about the boards size as he's the guy that made them and posted the PDF's on here.

Forgot to mention, if you really do want the atmega8535 16PI the go here:- http://www.air-electronics.com
There based in Germany and have a minimum order of 15Euro's, but if you get most of you componenets from them it will easily come to that.

OK- hope they send to Norway, thanks! If I chose to make the boards myself I will order more than one laminate, and if needed make more than one! (for the sake of the diy-spirit!) But you can mail me contact-info of about the people you mentioned, in case I change my mind!

Yea sure, i just emailed the guy who is making mine and he will be posting them to me on the 11th. Tomorrow. As soon as they arrive i'll measure them and let ya know. From what i have read on here, if you print them as on a 1:1 scale, that is the right size.

Now I have really desided to try to build the AVR and the dual h-bridge. When you are not really into electronics it hard to find all the parts and choose what to order. They have the most of the parts on digikey, but not all of them. i also have some questions i hope someone can help me with before I start to order. i do have to order everything on the net because up here there is no elektronic shops nearby.

    1. What is the L 10uH (Inductor, coil choke, in micro Henry) I find different stuff when searching this. Does someone have a part number, and tips where to order this? (Europe)

2:I have read somewhere in the tread that you can replace Capacitors 100nF/100volts with Capacitors 0.1uF ceramic. Is that right?

3:pin headers with white base is also hard to find. Is there another name for it? Is this what they call Molex-connectors?

4: it is also hard to fin the IC bases for Atmega8535 and Max232, ideas?

5: In the h-bridge parts list I have trouble finding this:
    Zener 15volt 1/2 watt
Terminal connectors (two legs) atleast 15amp rated on 125volt
Terminal connectors (three legs) atleast 15amp rates on 125volt
    DIP 14 IC header
    10pin Male Molex connector

I belive one of the reasons I cant find this parts is that i do not really know what i am starting to do here, but I really want to learn about it. maybe there is alternatives, or other names for the parts? In that case it would be nice to know. Maybe this tread could be a Parts-tread where we can report where to get it from, prices an which parts can be used. :highfive:

    Hi,

I'm struggling with the same issue with Fred. It would be blast if someone had a full partlist with some web shop specific part numbers. Is anyone found all the parts from just one dealer?

I've started to gather up things into basket from mouser ( http://fi.mouser.com/Home.aspx ) and they seem to have quite vast assortment.

I could post my best guess of the part list here.

Thanks!!! I found a better way to search for parts. It is not a good idea to use the search fields in the web shops, because you dont find all the parts this way. Its better to look for the parts in different categories (if one know which...) I vas able to find some more parts this way I have found most of it now at http://www.digikey.com

I have not ordered yet, but I have made my own parts lists with partsnumber they have on digikey.com. I have atached them here. If anyone wants to look at it or use it its great, but i cant guarantie its 100% correct, so I do hope for some feedback, and will let you know if all of it works.

I do have some questions i hope someone could answer about the parts:

is it posible to use 250v terminal connectors on the H-bridge like this ?: http://search.digikey.com/scripts/DkSearch/dksus.dll?vendor=0&keywords=ED1623-ND+

Is the lcd panel optional? and is this a compatible lcd panel? http://search.digikey.com/scripts/DkSearch/dksus.dll?Detail&name=NHD-0216K1Z-NS(RGB)-FBW-ND

Is this close enough as the L 10uH:
    http://search.digikey.com/scripts/DkSearch/dksus.dll?Detail&name=M8181-ND

Is there any capasitor that can replace 1.2nF (1n2)? Its very hard to find!!! But hello, look what I found searching this forum a little more: http://www.crsupply.co.uk/shop/index.ph ... ductId=842 It is even approved by mr. Tronic :hi:

OK, I have made my order to digikey. Some small changes but mainly what listed in the partslist i have attached on this tread. I did not order IRF4905 because it was not in stock at the moment. IRF4905 I ordered from http://www.futurlec.com They manufacter pcb`s which i also will order from them. I am sending the Gerber files to them which i found somewhere in the forum. Both digikey and futurlec ship worldwide and to privat use (Not all do...) The parts will cost me a little more than expected, but i had to chose from dealers that ship to Norway. (Hope my wife dont kill me) I am still not sure about the terminal blocks, and hope I can use the ones I have ordered.
