parametric objects and openscad

    20160213_120052.jpg Parametric objects amongst other things are models based on parameters. What does this mean to the end user? it basically means you can take an object and change aspects without redesigning the whole object. For instance you could adjust the size of a parametric object just by replacing some numbers in the code. Although there are many design programs out there I prefer openscad. It is also a free app. Openscad will export .stl files for you to run through your slicer of choice.

    Outputs many different types of 3d models. however if you require STL then you need to import/convert.
