I have wasted days and a huge chunk of my monthly download limit trying to upgrade my sim computer to Windows 10. It downloaded just fine but twice baulked during install with an error 0x80070004 – 0x3000D.

I can't believe it but the problem is an ORBX todo file, I kid you not! Just delete the ORBX todo file here and Windows 10 installs: C:\Users\"username"\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Orbx

After trying many different things this is where I found the solution: http://www.troublefixers.org/windows/fix-error-0x80070004-0x3000d-while-upgrading-to-windows-10/274/

I figure ORBX will be a fairly common addon for those of us into flight sims, and given how much time and angst I spent on this I hope this saves someone else a bunch of time.

Huge understatement, at least I can go back to downloading Dirt Rally and will treat that as my just reward. Though I am getting usb disconnects since upgrading so also need to sort that.
