You lucky devil...Nords is near the top of my bucket list of things to do in life, pity it is on the opposite side of the world.

Is that something like a sport car club day at the track? I've been considering taking my Mini Cooper S to the closest track (Portland International Raceway) but I understand it is pretty pricey. About $250 US plus a lot of wear on my tires. But for Nurburgring it would be totally worth it! Especially in someone else's car!

Its an open track weekend. You just turn up and pay per lap through a barrier system. Its 24 euros a lap if you buy at least 5 laps so we will probably do at least 10-15.
We have also booked the ring taxi which is one lap with dale lomas driving in a new m3 which i think is just under an 8minute lap. That was 225 euros so not cheap but i didnt pay for that, my mate did. Should be a ģood experiance if im not screaming all the way round

You can hire prepped cars for blasting around Nords, that's what I looked into for my bucket list plans to visit...not cheap but neither would going half way round the world to get there.

Me and a mate that i used to go Karting with looked into that Noorbeast. Yes it is very expensive and i would still like to do it in a few years. It would be a fantastic experience. I've never been on a track before, other than karting circuits so this is going to be nerve wrecking enough for me lol. The only time i have actually been to a Track was brands hatch to watch the DTM a couple of years ago. The sound was amazing.
My Mrs has got me a track experience for my birthday last week that i will use in july over here hopefully when the tracks are a lot drier and stickier. I only get to drive 2 cars for 6 miles each but not sure where i'm going yet as different tracks have different cars.

Well what can I say. That was an experience I won't forgot in a hurry. Absolutely amazing. I'll post some pics tomorrow at work when at a computer of some of the cars there. I'll post the taxi ride video too if I can find out how to do it.

javallin track days take anycar look for open pit lane setup tho as best way you just go out when you want, not in a group timed session. i live by mallory park so 2mins drive to the track, i run an mx5 for track days, not been in awhile tho.
its not too bad if you get a few together and share a car buy an mx5 or a car for £50 - 500 and make it safe n jobs a good un, if you get a mx5 to do it you will be very happy how they go the gear changes are awesome too amazing feeling when ya reving it out and changing gear round devils elbow.
split the days cost between you all and its a cheap way to get on the track.
    costing
    100-150 track day
20 for extra driver or drivers.
    50-80 fuel i think.
and left tyre front tyre spare wheel as gerards kills ya front tyre.
    say £300 for the day.
between 2 thats only 150 add more n its even cheaper day at the track.

that be good if you do get the videos up :)
trust me some will spend loads on cars for the road when better to have a toy you can run and not care if you bin it see. n mx5 is a very good car for as A its rear drive and a drivers car.
i discontected my power steering to save weight.
got loads to do yet this year for free power by getting rid of all the rubbish not needed so i can get it light as possible as its all power to weight gains.
all i will have is 2 seats and a few clocks, but as i use it on the road aswell i will prob keep the heater ! lol
can not wait to see the videos.
might be able to get ya a ride when im out next on a track day but not sure when or where trying to afford it atm.

also crammy if you look on the net for on ya marks asda charity day you will love it.
    its held at bruntingthorpe.
you can pay £5 and you can pick and choose cars to be a passenger in cars skylines, lambos, mclarens, ariel atom, ect
    even rally cars.
you can not do everything on the day its just not long enough to do it theres so much to do.
i have emailed them today about taking my car to run on the day, i was even thinking could hold a club stand for any uk members to meet up also show cars and also prob a sim rig for show and more cars on the track if you want to take part in that bit.
    .
does this sound like a good idea.
