    Hey,

I have Dirt Rally to inteface with Simtools for 2 dof of seat play. But I am getting problem as expressed :
    1. My motor is moving forward and reverse in IBT2 driver.
    2. Bu it is running only one direction while interfacing with MM shield. I have edited the code by (#MODE1) and also followed the forum of x simulator but the problem remains same. I have checked pin connections as per your suggestions in the forum.
    My pin connections as:

    Arduino>> MM Shield
    2 >> 7
    3>> 8
    9>> 5
    4>> 4
    10>>6
    5>> 9

Currently I am using one motor to check its performance. Once it works, I will connect second motor too.
    Kindly help me.

    Regards,
    Prabin

be sure pot scaling has not been turned on without a pot connected to the arduino in the scaling configuration. smc3 does not need editing if you are using mode 1.

EDIT you should be testing initial movement under output testing

    Hey Stephen,

I tried it with hand pot and fixing with motor shaft. In both cases, I getting the same results(one direction).
I also tried with code without editing #mode1 i.e, with #mode2. But there is no change change.
I also tried with Racingmat code. There is no desired response.

I also tried with different pin connections as:

    Arduino>> MM shield
    4 >>4
    5>>5
    6>>6
    7>>7
    8>>8
    9>>9
But again there is no change in the motor response.

I do not know how the response of motor is getting with IBT2 driver is correct. I have only one IBT2 at present and have ordered the same and will receive in 2/3 weeks. I can't wait for such long time. So I wish to run the seat play with MM shield.

I am working since last week and not solving the issue. Now, it is frustrating for me. Many people are using this MM shield and it is working properly. Why I am not able to run with it?

    Please help me.

    Thanks,

Thanks Stephen. I changed the MM driver and now it is giving some response in reverse direction. But the response is slow as compare to forward direction. Please find the screenshot of pin connection and SMC3 utl. PLease suggest me to make the response as of forward direction.

    Hello,

I have connected motors with IBT2 driver and tested with smc3 and hand potentiometer operation, it is working fine. Now I started testing with game engine without running the dirt rally game, my both motors are not working. please help me.

The setting of game engine as follows. I also tried with different % setting of roll and pitch, it doesn't work. I tried with dirt rally DOF Reality and again, it does not work.

Instead of axis defined like this <Axis1> it now has designate grouping for a or b in SimTools 2 for each axis assignment, like this <Axis1a>

Startup and shutdown output should be 0 also. You may have better results with surge and sway instead of pitch and roll.

Yes I also tried with <Axis1a> <Axis2a> and also kept surge and sway from 0 to 100% but no response in the motors.
    Is there any other reason?

Please post pictures of your Axis Allocations.

Does the Sim respond and move in Output Testings?

If so then the issue is on the game patching side.

If not then the issue is on the hardware/interface side.

Yeah game engine is responding. Also I am getting .net error this may be the reason not to get response.
What kind of hardware/interfacing problem it may have? please explain me.

I am not sure if a language emulator works or not, to be sure change your actual system setting to English Local.

Can you confirm previous issues with SMC3 have been resolves and that motors respond properly there.

When do you get the .NET error message?

Can you please post the full details of the .NET error message.
