Hi all- I stumbled onto this site and this technology a while ago when I built my first racing rig last year- an ambitious 0DoF project - and I have been hooked ever since.

i am coming from a hobbyist fabricator background mostly in cafe racers and motorcycles. I can make decent things out of metal, wood, fibre glass and carbon fibre. I’ve also built a couple of 3d printers so wiring/electronics etc aren’t too big a stretch.

I’ve been impressed by all of your work. It is incredible what the people here can do and also teach hacks like me to do. Thank you in advance for the help I will need.

so my project/ journey starts today and will be posted soon.

I’m calling it the Junkyard 6DOfG. The design and build philosophy will be just that - if I can get what ever I need at the junkyard I will. This is not for budgetary reasons but more that I want to push the boundaries of recycled materials and reused components where ever possible.

Hopefully it won’t look half bad by the end of it…..

If it is cheaper that isn’t so bad either.
