I got a servo motor on an arduino UNO R3 to work with SimTools, after several months, so I decided I'm ready to go all in and build a motion simulator of my own. :D

I saw a mall here in Oklahoma City using SimTools on a 3DOF, it was really cool, even though it was starting to fall apart. But they charge $15 for 10 minutes, so it would be cheaper in the long run to build my own. I'm going to start buy prototyping a 2DOF with servo motors.

In the meantime, I'm making a parts list. I would really appreciate some of your expert advice.

    • Monster moto -- are the ones from this link any good? I've heard not to get the cheap $10 ones. But $70 is a lot of money for an arduino shield!
    • Wiper motor--can it be used? What are the requirements?
Would something like this work? 12v or 24v? What would the differences be?
What would be the difference in using the previous over this?
