I just finished my 2 dof seatmover sim.

    2 X amequipment type 226 dc gearmotors
    2 X JRK 12V12 controllers
1 PC Power supply 62 amps

I laser cut some gears and figured on a ratio which gives me almost 270 degrees for the pot when the shaft rotated 180.
I cut down a CPU heatsink and mounted one on each jrk 12v12. A 12v muffin fan keeps them cool. Mounted above the fan is the power supply ballast resistor which could use some cooling also.

Using a joystick, the seat throws me around pretty good. Tomorrow I'll try it on Dirt2.

    welcome to the jrk world.
Looks good mate, top idea on laser cutting gearing for pot config, cost much, hard to achieve.
Any help on profile, just sing out.

    eaorobbie,

I was lucky enough to pick up an old laser cutter/engraver for cheap several years ago. Makes fabricating small intricate parts a breeze.
Thanks for the offer on the profile...I'll need it.
