Hey everyone, pretty pumped my brother found this site. I have replaced just about everything I have associated with Sim Racing and I would love to do this right the first time. Buying 2 cockpits in a year is enough but I am settled on using the SimLabs p1-x as my chassis to build off of. Trying to understand the benefits of motors vs accuators. Could anyone link me to some good reading?

    thanks everyone,
    Chris

Actuators have less backlash and mechanically are more efficient than wormdrive gearboxes.

For a long time actuators were prohibitively expensive for most DIY, but that has changed a lot with servos and @Thanos controller, plus pioneering DIY actuator techniques.
