hmmm I've just downloaded this program and it seems awfully over complicating what I'm trying to do and ask

designs is a standard seat mover like in the picture from simCalc and weight well the chair I down know how much it weighs and I weigh 97 kg

I just need to know where I can get the geared motors from,

I don't really know what I'm doing on the motion side of things I'm new to all this and don't really know where to start let alone use that program

ill be using Arduino and monster motor shields and that's all I know as for the motors I don't know what I should get and where to get them

Getting motors is one thing, but there are design/hardware choices to be made, here are just some popular motors available:

Picking the right motor is all about coming to grips with the fundamentals involved. SimCalc may seem a bit challenging, but it is probably easier to come to grips than the figuring the maths out by hand: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/calculating-basic-linear-speed-and-forces.89/

I feel imin way over my head with this one, I just thought buy a strong motor and kind of copy the all similar designs that everyone has done?

all I can think of all this jumbo mumbo is down to how much weight the motor can move am I right?

I weigh 100KG or thereabouts say with clothing and gear on so if I include the seat and frame I could be looking at 150 kg a whole mass before its put on a pivot so if I get the motor below

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/GEAR-MOTOR...L-FEED-SIMULATOR-75-80RPM-50-1-/371596157992?

newtons I'm not familiar will completely but I guess it moving force and weigh

with a CTC length of 40 mm, which is the little bit before it connects to the section that has the tie rod ends on, bear in mine there only going to be little shorties on mine

it should be about to move my weight and that what this is all about or am I wrong?

What design do you plan to build?

No point talking or guessing about motors unless we have some idea of what you actually plan on building.
