    Hello all!
Im new in this important Forum, and i have some questions.
First I allready buy a Motion Platform ( http://www.cimflightdecks.com/motion_base/131.html ) to use on my HomeCockpit
    ( http://forums.simflight.com/viewtopic.php?f=105&t=58125 ).

What is your opinion about that Motion 3 DOF?
Now I want to buy 4 Motion Systems for racing, but I just can spend around 5000€ for all and I don´t have time to work on that.
    So, there is my questions:
1- Whitch one is better, RnR, Frex, SimforceGT (I don´t now this one ??) or other Motion System?
2- Im thinking buy one of this ( http://playking.de/main/shop/simulatoren_rocknride.html ) version 1 or 2, what is your opinion?
3- I see in last link that is possible one more DOF, your opinion?
4- If i choose for RnR, is just plug&Play or I have to make any kind of improve?
5- On RnR is possible change the seat?
6- Sirnoname said to look for Rock'n'Ride on Ebay but i cant find anything???
7- Any other aspect that you feel important???
8- Can you give me the aprox. price to an HomeMade project:
    - RnR
    - Frex
    - SimforceGT
    - Motion Platform 2DOF and 3DOF
    - tronicgr Fantastic project

    Tanks for your time!
    Regards

    Bon dia Rui

    Bem-vindo a nosso foro!

To build a DIY Simulator with X-Sim much time was required. At least to make movement profiles in the software. If you dont have time, you should go for a commercial simulator either.

You wouldnt be lucky with a pneumatic RnR.
For those who have a RnR already, the X-Sim Software is a really big improvement. But to be honest, I wouldnt recommend to buy one.
Not until we have managed to build some adequate electric actuators for ít, or if some servo valves could be used wihin the Profiler2.

For racing sims I'd propose you the Simconmotion from http://www.frex.com/gp

Afaik, Tronic has spent round about 600Euros for his simulator.

The link shows a 2DOF Platform

Though I'd like to see such a 3DOF platform moving with X-Sim.
Have you some PICs of the motion platform instead of the link to the manufacturer?
I've red through your thread but I could just see some pics of your cockpit, but not the platform.

What games/simulations does its interface/controller/software support?
How much does such a platform cost?

    regards
    ego

Are you refferring to the cimflightdeck simulator platform?

I cannot see the third axis. The Platform stands on a fixed pivot -> 2 axes.

    Answers to ego:
The link http://www.cimflightdecks.com/motion_base/131.html shows 3 DoF CIM 0.72 Motion Base.
I didn´t recive yet the motion, probably I will for the end of the month but you can see 2 DOF from CIMFLIGHTDECKS working on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8bLwvoPD2Zg
I buy this Motion Platform to use only with Flight Simulators especialy FSX, and the software was made by CIMFLIGHTDECKS.
The price you can see in CIMFLIGHTDECKS page.

I use TFT with hi contrast and I put them in a position that you have a realy good feeling inside the cockpit in 1ºOficer seat as the 2ºOfficer seat. The video that I put on you tube is just to see the aligment of horizonte, in that test i dont correct the defenitions of screens (this movies was litle better http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DDaZdq1XHtc )

Its not that easy to say.

Tronics joyrider works very good and is usable for flight sims as well.

The Frex moves just in small area (100mm acutators) but very quick, which is neccessary to simulate rumble.

The SimforceGT is a Frex type simulator. But we dont have actuators that move as quick yet, nor an controller interface yet. Its W.I.P still.

Personally I'd like to see you build a DIY joyrider or SimforceGT with X-Sim and Tronics' interface.
But I think you should decide for yourself, if you have the time to build 4 DIY simulators, or if you want to buy 4 Frex setups which are plugnplay.

Btw, Playking does some promotion for a RnR with a 3rd axis, but I havent seen any RnR with that feature yet. I think that they havent build at least one until now^^

Congrats that you can afford it to buy such a plaform.
I, and I think most of the X-Sim members, could not.

Besides that it seems to be great in motion. But I think it lacks good game support ;)

Which games does the controller/software support? I assume just MS Flightsimulator.
Does it support ForceFeedback as well?

Cimflight controllers do not support ForceFeedack Effect for sure.

    Forget Mode 1 -> crap

For Mode 2 and 3 the controller needs some data, in order to move the simulator. This data comes out of a game plugin.

I assume that they do not have plugins for every game. I am quite sure that it does only support MS FS via the Peter Dowson FSUIC plugin. But maybe I am wrong.

The X-Sim software has the potential to support all games with telemetric outputs via a plugin or via ForceFeedback effects.

Relax, it will work probably quite well with MS FS ;)
    But not with other games.

The Playking Profiler has nothing in common with the X-Sim Profiler.
The playking controllers are just crappy joystick mode. Not comparable to the X-Sim software with controls simulators with real game data.

    Dear sirnoname,

    You said on another topic

Ebay, look out for Rock'n'Ride, that are all the parts you need.
For your understanding: its an old simulator which is sold
very cheap now, look the last eBay links ...
You can also buy the pneumatic parts for e.g. 200€ and then build your
own sim frame if you like

I try but I cant find anything???

    Regards
    Rui Vieira
