What do you think about this beautiful cabinet created by me (and my friend) with Raspberry??

I'm so proud of this work, it's very pretty and compact, and it's not too expensive. photo_2017-02-04_08-11-00.jpg photo_2017-02-04_08-11-04.jpg photo_2017-02-04_08-11-08.jpg photo_2017-02-04_08-11-00.jpg photo_2017-02-04_08-11-08.jpg

Typical response from a musician. They live in their own world. :)

Ahahaha... Music is the mirror of soul :)

After this project... I think i'm pretty ready to start my 2dof sim... The real challenge is to Add traction loss in a compact way. :)

    I've played e-guitar, long ago, but i wasn't good enough (I'm too self-critical, i was never satisfied).:(
In addition, everything gets always too boring for me after some time, so i always do something new.

I don't really like Electric guitar even if I play it... why don't you try to listen to something like this? Fingerpicking? Maybe this will make you want to play again..;)

Wow I didn't know Stanley Jordan before your video...amazing! I'm still listening his version of stairway to heaven!

With electric guitar I like to play "old rock" pieces like dire straits, pink floyd, ecc.. I want to suggest you this guy, maybe you will like him (arrgh, open tuning...).

Do you have nothing to do ?
Hurry, hurry, go out and build your SIM !! :)
    Don't worry about me.
I'm in early retirement and live in the country since 4 years. Here is a lot of wood, so i started with chainsaw carving last year.
Winter == SIM, summer == making firewood and chainsaw.
You see: Life can be so easy !! :cheers

    Nice passion ;)

    Beautiful!

Just one question...why do you choose to put motors on front of your chair, like noorbeast's simulator?

In my mind (I don't know if it's true or no) I think that it's better to put motors on back, under the seat...

    Thanks for your opinion!

    To your question:

    rahmen.png

This should be a part of the sim looked from above.
The grey square is the frame on which the seat is mounted.
The yellow dot is the pivot point (it's not in the middle of the frame).
The green dots are the points where the force of the motors goes in.
The dotted blue line now forms an equilateral triangle.
And what does this mean ?
I don't know, :D but i've tested the movements with my 3d-program and they seemed to be ok.
The finished sim has also confirmed this (Thank God ! :))

    ahahh ok :)

For me, the construction of sim it's a very difficult point, i'm not very expert in mechanic, but i'm an informatic/electronics engineer... For now i'm building a small model with Arduino and 2 servo (placed on back).

For example, I didn't know since now that the pivot point can't stay on center of frame :)

What do you think about adding traction loss in a compact way? (without any bigger structure on back of frame)

Your sim is very nice..is perfect...is "too much" for my possibilities, you are an artisan :)

Oh no, the position of the pivot points depends on the sim you want to build. Whether you want a seat mover or a frame mover.
In my opinion it's better for a car racing game to build a seat mover and for a flight game a frame mover, but this question is hotly discussed in this forum, and everyone is somehow right.
First you have to decide this, then you have to mount your seat on your frame, and then you can determine the position of the pivot point while sitting in your seat by balance it all out.

I don't have traction loss on my sim, so you should study the faq's and other members threads who have TL. I don't want to give you wrong advices.
