my alternative concept of motion

    hi guys
    I want to show another concept of realizing a racing car simulation. The idea was not primarily build a common position system, than a system that reflected various driving conditions, as the suspension feeling,the cornering, the acceleration, the braking and additional speed for open cars.
    All actuators are based on SFX 100 project modified for push pull, the motion software is FlyPt, the controller are arduino mega with 4 DOF controller code and Simhub for wind, great thanks to all guys @cubexxx @pmvcda @saxxon for there excellent work.

    1. Suspension
    - standard 3-DOF standard plattform mover driven with suspension data

    2.Cornering,
    - ai-g-seat concept, with 4 air seat pillows left and right driven with two 160 mm pneumatic cylinder, park position in the middle with holes near the middle for venting.Converting lateral acceleration to force according F=m*a.

    3.Acceleration
    - the same as cornering with 4 pillows in Back, different working only in one direction, park position from start, opposite side open ,additional maybe not even necessary two venting valves on pressure side.Converting only positive longitudinal acc. to force.

    4.Brake,
    - front-surge system pedals and steering wheel mounted on rails pushes both under braking against the driver. Steering wheel additional mounted with springs,
    - belt tensioner producing a pressure on the shoulder. Both converting negative longitudinal acceleration to force.

    two radial car ventilation motor driven with a Fet-transistor, supplied from server power supply 12V 80A,
    generate speed feeling indirect from wind in open cars

    The amount of work to build this, has to be insane.

    And even with an really high mechanical knowledge i don´t understand what most parts are used foro_O:grin


    What i don´t like is the high seatposition. Everytime i am testing an motion rig where the seat is in such a high position compared to the actuators, it felt weird with a high detail loss and Rollmovement feels more like Sway.
