Hello, everyone. I built SFX100 style actuators with 200 mm stroke, and my system is extremly loud for some reason. I checked all the forums but no one seems to be having issues with noise, and something is definitely wrong with my actuators. As I tested with other people's simhub profile, even with the gain reduced to 50 percent they are too loud, specifically the surge to pitch and sway to roll are very loud. Here is the video of my system, with reduced surge and sway, but still it is very loud.

So is there something wrong with my ballscrews that make this so loud? Or something else? How can i fix this? There are not a lot of ballscrews that can fit inside 8080 profile... so i have only no flange option for now... but i contacted igus to see if I can use leadscrew instead. When I was building the actuators i noticed some screws were not fully straight, but some were, but the individual actuators have same noise level no matter what.

I used this ballscrew from aliexpress.

I don't think anything wrong with actuator other than the ballscrew.

Even reprinted the slider to fully fit my profile, but the noise is still very very loud.

I don't know what to do here anymore... Need help.. Thank you.

It seems I can't edit my post, I used SCI1605 with 350mm length for my build. There was no grease port, so I rotated the nut to the top until i could put grease in, then repeated that more than 10 times to properly stuff grease in it. Also applied grease on the screw too but the grease i used wasn't made for bearing, description said for general use, for gears and cars and anywhere and its made of Paraffin Distillate. And total rig weight is around 100kg with me on board. So not so heavy.

Like already mentioned in Discord, but here i can see your mechanical design. Be sure everything, like slider and rod is moving really smooth without any issues. Completely assembled you should be able to move the feets by your hand inside and outside.

Be sure the motor coupler has an 1mm gap.

And an proper Grease can reduce any noise significantly. But in general, the longer your ballscrew is, the louder it gets. It gets worse with cheaper brands of ballscrews and only 5mm pitch.
