I'm using 24v jazzy wheelchair motors and dual drak power supplies with IBT_2 drivers. So far my testing is without me in the seat but the peripherals are there and are pretty heavy.

The motors make a pretty constant sound when it hits the center point. I was tweaking SMC3 settings and the left motor went dead. If I restart SMC3, it'll work for about 5 seconds and go dead again. The driver of the side that works gets pretty hot but the side that's faltering is only warm. I've attached pictures of my general setup because maybe my angles are just wrong and my leverages aren't enough. Most other setups I've seen have short arms so I figured my longer ones would actually require less torque.

Where should I go with my troubleshooting? I'm a bit lost.

use shorter arms for less effort on the motors

the ibt2 drivers are shutting down

look at my build thread - I use 200A drivers cheap and reliable

I drilled the holes farther up the lever arm and that seems to help. I think that without me in the rig, it's too much weight. Maybe I should put springs or something to pull the rig until I'm in it? I think I've seen other people do it.

Now it all works in simtools but won't work in game. It says the game is running and I see outputs on the tuner but nothing happens in game.

If Output Testing works as expected in SimTools can you please post pictures for all of the settings used for the game.

Here's what I got. In the output tuning center, everything moves/works fine. The game is patched and I can see the inputs in tuning center (numbers look low to me but I hit a wall and got pitch to hit -20).

How many watts / amps are your motors

What is the gear ratio ?

How many turns of the motor = 1 turn of output ?

You mean the gear reduction in the motor? I'm not sure. The ebay listing doesn't say. If you're talking about my mechanical side, it's 1:1. I just have the motor with a lever arm to the rig.

Turn it by hand and you can measure it !

I got it working. When min/max are 0 on the tuning center, it doesn't send anything to the chair. It seems to do a great job at adhering do the road surfaces but I don't feel anything on hard accel or decel.

heave and sway instead of pitch and roll. Got it working!
