Hi ! I'm new here and I'm working on my first prototype 3DoF just to get involved with how this works. So far is ok (Arduino + L298N + SMC3), but what I'm actually trying to do is a 6DoF platform for 2 people, meaning about 400-500Kg (X-Plane 11) using geared motors instead of actuators, but I'm open to ideas.
Is there somewhere I can read about the relation between the platform weight and the motor power, amps, gear reduction box, best rpms for a good feeling or can somebody point me to a thread with a project similar to mine?
I'm planning on using an Arduino and SMC3 and definitely a bigger motor driver, but, once again, I'm open to ideas.
    Thanks !
