I just got 4-DOF working on my rig (finally) and I just ran 2 laps in the TCR car on iRacing with pretty normal settings, but it got me a little dizzy in VR.
Keep in mind, I ALWAYS race in VR and haven't felt dizzy since the last time I tried an unoptimized VR game.
Does anyone know if Motion Cancellation is something I should look into with the Valve Index if I'm getting dizzy?
I've been reading alot about this on Matzman666's GitHub but i dont know if it works with the Valve Index and what not.

It may just need me to get used to it, but I'm not sure.

    Any ideas?

First off when it comes to motion simulation and VR the first priority is optimising the motion profile for very fast and precise motion...less is more...so avoid large axis movements that may induce perceivable latency.

Once the motion profile is refined motion cancellation will help, on sims with larger axis movement range.

Finally keep in mind that some people are more susceptible to VR motion sickness than other, particularly in race simulations where there is lots going on visually in the near visual field. So take it easy, don't push yourself, as that can set up a Pavlov types of response, so stop and give yourself a break as soon as you feel a bit weird. Acclimatising yourself slowly to VR and motion simulation will help build your tolerance.

I got a profile from a fellow Thanos’ discord member that knows alot about the AMC interface controller and all. He set up his profile for iracing and copied me to it. He mentioned that since the profile is already set up in simtools for the axis/dof values, theres no need to do the min/max value capture in iracing (like you do when setting up a fresh profile). Is that true or do i have to go into the tuning center in SimTools and capture those values after a few laps no matter what?

I know its slightly off topic but i thought this could be some of the reasoning behind my vr motion sickness also.

I did take a break after 3 laps. I knew what it felt like right away. Ill keep trying and see if it goes away.

It is important to optimise motion profiles for your personal rig and preferences, otherwise the motion may contribute to VR sickness if the profile is a little off, see the steps here: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/steps-to-create-a-motion-profile.228/
