Hallo erstmal an euch alle hier heute Morgen

    Hi Nico,

In the first versions of my AMC controller I had the very simple max232 circuit you mention, but for some reason I could not get it working right! It was causing reset of the Atmega8535 after a few seconds of receiving data in 115Kbps speed! So I had to alter it by adding the extra circuitry you see. The extra circuitry is a copy of the max232 circuitry used on STK500 development board on which I originally developed my AMC interface. In addition I had to also add an extra resistor and a led to further reduce the current passing to the RX line that was still introducing the reseting problem...

You can try the simple max232 circuit and see for yourself!

    Regards, Thanos

Thank you Thanos for this Information

Now i will use your Max232 circuit for my Development Board to learn some about the ATMEGA32 and 644

    Best Regards: Nico
