Dont worry Radioproffi, I got the rig welded up and strenghened over the weekend.

Rig is back together and working fine.

But you did the good thing and offered a replacement. I appreciate that, however no point wasting time effort and money.

Just promice me you will look a little more into your design so it doesn't happen to the next man.

    Hi Grease,

    Enjoy your new toy!

So where are you from? I would suggest your countries customs nonsense is no different from other country's.

Once you get your rig (and probably before you get your rig) I'm sure you will have lots of questions, so ask away, there is quite a large group of users on here, collectively with quite a lot of experience.

Bros, i need help. My right motor out of nowehre started to make clicking noises, and now the entire rig isn't moving when i try it in games or in output testing (even though com port is correct). Watch the video to know what i'm talking about (ignore the fan noise, pay attention to the clicking noise it makes). It only makes that sound when the usb chord is plugged into my pc. HOWEVER, i know it's not broken since i got PC2 to work (only once though) and after it worked, i quit the game, then went to output testing/another game and again it wasn't working..

Also, i know it still works because when i use SMC3 utility app and choose the "sine" wave motion, all the motors work fine, the rig moves. Even motor 2 (the right motor, which is the motor making the clicking noises)

any suggestions on what i should do? cause seems like it's not working on simtools anymore..

Video of motor making clicking noises:

@noorbeast Could this be an issue from simtools..? cause when i use SMC3 it works fine, but when i use it in simtools it won't move at all. And when i click on "turn on" in output testing, simtools makes a weird sound, never used to do that before..

Not working with SimTools is most likely a communication issue, so if hardware were not the issue then check if something like a Windows update has messed with things like com port settings.

But I suspect a clicking noise is most likely a hardware issue.

OMGGG i tried it with my mac laptop and it worked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so problem is with my pc, not with the motors, thank god!!!

and thanks for giving me the idea that it might be from my pc, not the motion platform itself lol

Just put in my order for the 3dof consumer rig. Can anyone recommend an economical seat that isn't too small (I'm about 6 foot and 240 lbs) to purchase that will mount easily? On my current rig, I'm using a 2003 Hyundai Tiberon bucket seat that sits off center to the mounts and may be difficult to balance.

Thanks for any advise you can give.

You could alway just offset the seat position the other way which would put the seat centrally.

But as for buying aftermarket seats, any will do, just make sure you the seat mounts from the bottom of the seat with 4 bolts. I suggest you dont go for a deep bucket seat, it's just harder to get in and out of. You don't need anything special that will hold you in place. The rig is trying to simulate g-forces but you are not really experiencing g-forces so you really dont need a buclet seat to hold you in.

Sorry, not a lot of help but it's more about what seats are available to you as opposed to which seat to get. I wouldnt get a leather or plastic seat. Living in the reletivily high temperatures and high humidity of Malaysia, the leather look seat wasn't the best choice for me.
