Is there a map somewhere showing all members respective locations? I remember seeing a link somewhere but iirc it pointed to the old site.

Especially for noobs like me, it would be great to see if others are nearby so we could possibly check out their rigs before building our own!

Good idea, and you must be the only one considering that. I have invited at least 8 potential builders of rig to check out my rides, only 1 actually turned up.

Thats really surprising to me! Although, part of my problem is I want a sim for both flight and racing! I started out thinking joyrider 100%, now I'm not so sure! Maybe most people aren't so torn?

I thought the same thing, but people around here would rather pay $80 per hour on a place in town on a sim that doesnt have the same motion as mine, meaning, mines better and they know it.
    Oh well, whatever.

    Thanks Rene!

Question? Is there any way to put a pin on the map to show specific locations? For example, it shows two members who live in Michigan but I cannot pin my location in Michigan (USA). That way members can find others who might live in the same city, etc.

    Thanks again.

Which location is currently shown for your username? The locate function is based on google maps and the location you set in your personal settings. A popular place or just a streetname in relationship to a city should give you a more exact place for your marker. There is no option to set a marker manually.

Just click on a nunber or zoom in so the number converts into unique members. So you are able to see single user behind the grouped members and find neighbours of your hometown.

@RaceRay It was nice of @JBoogie to donate for this useful feature. Thanks. But I was wondering if there is any way for you to query the database and create additional maps showing only current active users for example?

Very cool. Alas, no other users in my immediate area, but it is really nice to be able to see where people are located!

    I updated the map:

    • Currently online users are shown in the right sidebar. Just click on a name and the the map jumps to the corresponding marker
    • You have to set your marker manually or semi automatic to a specific location
    • you can delete your marker if you like to
    • Geolocation via HTML5
I did that modifications because in the old map there were a lot of inactive user shown. Now we have only user on the map who want to show their location. I think thats much better than to add ALL user, even the inactive ones to the map. What do you think?
