I have recently Completed my 2Dof Motion rig a bit of a learning curve but well worth it and i really enjoy it i use it for Sim racing. I used an Arduino with 2 x IBT2 Driver boards with 24v DC Garage door motors, I used the SMC3 software on the forums for the Arduino.

You can also have a look at my project.
