HELP!!!! I am having major issues getting the jrk 12v12 working properly.
First problem, I hooked one jrk up to all the correct connections and the pc, then applied 12v power and POP! Blew up $115 . Damn! Turns out the cheap usb cable was the issue somehow and cause the jrk utility not to read the board and OVER CURRENT!
The second one I set up with a good usb cable , applied power and closed my eyes, thankfully all good. I set the feedback, set the PID to 1,0,1, then fiddled with the manual set target to see if it works. All good, the motor moves and no smoke from the board. Now I am stuck. How do I test to see if the motor actually works without setting it up to a game? I looked through x-sim and tried the test tablet. Am I missing something? I am now very nervous as I have fried $115 in an instant and not willing to do that again. Pololu is out of stock, funny that! I am trying to hold my rage and not take the sim to the scrap yard.
    Can someone please help.
    Thanks, David.

    All here mate

The uso commands need to be set in x - sim first before xsim can talk to cards.
If alittle confusing can walk ya through on msn one night.
Talk to pololu about replacement, dont mention bad usb cable :tape: internal protection on card should have shut it down before frying.
The only part not protected is the 5V regulatar on the usb side, i found out the hardway, but card still works if powered by 12v with usb connected.
    Sorry to hear. :(

Woohoo!!! Pololu are sending me a new unit at freight charge only! Fantastic! I ordered another anyway, so this way I will have 3. They were very good indeed! Highly recommended company.
I am still hoping to have this thing running by the end of the month! Well , I would like to as I have 5 days off from the long weekend. Gaming time!

    Thanks for the help all.

I little confusing is not the word! I have set the jrk utility all up and all works. Now I am trying to figure out a step by step process of connecting to the x-sim program. I will email you to find out when you are in as there is a 2-3 hr time difference between here and there.
    Thanks, David.
