I'm a new member and anxious to get started. I've decided to do a 2DOF build based on TronicG's Joyrider. I've got the joyrider plans and have reviewed tronic's suggestions on construction, but I'm confused. I'm in the U.S. and our PVC is either schedule 40 or schedule 80. Schedule 40 is the white stuff and 80 is the stronger (thicker) gray pipe. Tronic says to use pipe 2cm over what's shown in the joyrider plans, so that's around 3/4 bigger. I've decided to use the stronger schedule 80, but I can't add 3/4 to each size b/c they don't make such sizes. I can get 1, 1.25, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, and 4. Do I up everything by an inch (except make the 1.25 go to 2)? Anyone in the U.S. here that's done this? I'm 6 foot 195lbs so I want to build the frame as sturdy as possible (so I won't have to reinforce later), but still do PVC for ease of construction. Any thoughts?

You should be fine going a larger size, you will just need to pay attention to you pivot balance points. I built one from steel frame something based off the joyrider and so far it works well.
