...with sender. It's more instable. I don't have a internet connection active when i try it. The sender not appear in the bar at the bottom, the drop-down menu does not work, it crashes.

Try unplugging your internet connection and making sure that no wireless adapter is attempting to discover a network BEFORE starting the profiler and sender. I have found that wireless adapters when struggling to find a connection will cause major X-Sim problems. It is best to not use wireless network adapters in your simulator. Also, I have seen X-Sim freezes on Vista when wireless networks are attempting to re-negotiate link speed, which you may not even know is occuring. It seems that Vista does something crazy when this re-negotiation occurs. I'm guessing that the force sender is using synchronous communications as opposed to asynchronous communications. This means that it is expecting good network communications and rapid response to it's internet requests. When these re-negotiations occur, it doesn't get these rapid responses and the thread hangs. Again, this is just a guess based on my observations. SirNoName may be able to comment further about the nature of the communications.

You can avoid all of this by having a stable NON-WIRELESS internet connection, or by having no wireless card installed in your PC, and ensuring that no network cables are plugged into your PC.

I ran X-Sim 2.1.0.3 at a trade show with no internet connection for a week straight all day long with only one small unrelated glitch.

All of this having been said, if we get to vote, I too vote for removal of the community features and simplification of the sender!

I also agree on the removal of the community features or at least the ability to disable them.

How to convert your old profiles?
I tried adding zero's to the max value but that does not work, seem really difficult.
But i like the new smooth feeling of this version, is it even possible to 'convert' your favorite profiles?
Now i only use Nima's Gtre profile with 2.1.4 and when playing other games i just install the 2.1.3 version of X-SIm....

Is there a trick for this or do you have to build your profiles from the ground up?
I can't really, hope someone has a solution.

    Regards,

    Rob

    Hallo,

ich komme mit der Profilkonvertierung auf 2.1.4 auch nicht zurecht. Was muß ich genau ändern, damit diese Meldungen (Warning outdated profile) aufhören?
