A vote is being taken at iRacing.com about whether or not the iRacing API should support multiple connections.

For those who are not aware, currently, the iRacing API allows only one connection. In the case of X-Sim simulator owners, X-Sim takes this connection. Other devices such as the SLI-Pro also need to make a connection. Simulator owners are being forced to choose between motion and gauges when driving in iRacing. NOTE: This problem does not exist in other games.

I suspect that those with an interest in selling propriatery systems (motion software, hardware, gauges, etc...) all from one manufacturer are voting 'No' on this issue. I cannot thnk of any other reason why so many 'No' votes have been cast.

I would like to encourage all of you who use iRacing and would like to be able to have a choice in simulator hardware to visit the URL below and cast your vote at the top of the page.

This is so ridiculous... I don't understand why this is up for vote, or even discussion.

Everyone would think that from iRacing's point of view, it would be natural to support multiple connections and offer a platform for third party developers.

If their business model is driven by a proprietary mindset that is influenced by other profit hungry developers, I will just spend my money somewhere else thank you.
