i have 5 of NPC-B82 3 left and 2 right with R/C type speed controllers (had them in a battlebot from some time ago all still works)
    i was thinking 2DOM or 3dom
http://www.robotmarketplace.com/products/NPC-B81.html found a link if ya want to know what they look like
    spec of my testing
    motors
will do 57LBS of force at the end of a 8inch arm on 30v (at the motor) just before stall and using 79.41amps
with a slip cluch set to 45lbs drag they will still do 140 rpm and reach that speed in a blink of a eye
    they have almost no backlash
(at end of same 8inch arm measured 0.87mm of backlash crazy good)
they do eat some power each motor can use almost 100 amps at stall
the each have a IFI Victor HV-36V atm and 2 of them push my lawnmower around
i plan on keeping my lawnmower as is so i have 3 to play with 2 lefts and 1 right
    tell me what ya think
    edit
before anyone says it no i dont think the ifi hv-36v have the speed to run a sim i built a custom Hb for them almost done with it

You are so lucky to have these motors!!! They are awesome (and expensive too)!!

They can be connected to h-bridges compatible with AMC1.5 motion controler and use them on a motion simulator! As for comparison just think that most of us use cheap $30 car wiper motors with so little strength!!!

BTW, Thanks for the the hosting space for my site :)

Those are very nice motors and will have more than enough torque if you can control that much power.

100A @ 36V is going to be a challenge, but you can try it with 12V or 24V. That will get the current down into a manageable range.
What kind of controller are you using with them at the moment? You will need to choose the electronics very carefully for the sim.
