Simtools was working great but now it only works in one direction. Smc3 works as it should but not i simtools. I have deleted simtools, tried simtools3. Re patched game, flipped direction but then it still only goes 90 the other way. V3 had a different problem where i had to go past 27%to get it to move one direction but the other way moved right away. 20221016_150416.jpg 20221016_150407.jpg 20221016_150416.jpg 20221016_150407.jpg

I have also re uploaded mode 2 to the arduino a few times. Two crab pot motors and a different motor for traction loss. All three have the same problem all are being run by a elgoo uno r3. I have a few arduino unos on the way but don't have a lot of hope for that because it works correctly in smc3.

I didn't try sine but it worked correctly in the motion test. I think these are the pics you want? I know axis is high i was trying to get any movement in the direction with the problem. What screen are you calling tuner center settings? Did my first post not upload all 10 pics? New to this and a forum's sorr

There are only 6 images uploaded and that includes what look to be duplicates. Make sure image file sizes are not too large.

See the FAQs here re the Tuning Center: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/tuning-centre-and-axis-settings.240/

I tested in smc3 with the sine motion and it worked correctly.

I recaptured min/max and still same problem. It moves correctly one way but has a deadzone between 0 and 84ish. I have axis limit set to 100. And the deadzone is all 3 dof. One elgoo uno r3, two power supplies, rig grounded, tried different usb. I just don't understand how it is good in smc3 but then a huge deadzone in simtools.

SimTools is working with iRacing, as there are game data values in the top green row of the TC.

But there also needs to be a proper Axis Assignment and refinement of the motion profile, please see the tips in the FAQs here to do that: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/steps-to-create-a-motion-profile.228/

I have axis assignments set for both profiles. I remade my default on the basic setup to minimize the chance of me doing something wrong. Verified smc3 moves both directions again it does. I tested in simtools still only moved one direction. I then checked the direction box and still only one direction but it was when i moved the slider the other way so motor still moved the same way. In smc3 it goes both directions in the sine and direction profiles on all 3 motors. Its like it has a large deadzone or where it thinks center is in simtools is wrong. I don't believe it is clip because i don't have to reset it to move the other direction. Is there a way to reset axis zero in sim tools or remove deadzone? I have completely removed and reinstalled a few times now

First please remove confounding and likely unnecessary settings, such as Axis Limiting. Unless you are using vulnerable hardware or have some equally good reason there is no reason for Axis Limiting, leave it at 100%.

Then do a base profile following the suggested tips in the FAQ, testing in SimTools Output Testing to ensure each axis is properly set for the direction it needs to go using the DIR check box in Axis Assignments, this is what SimTools expects: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/which-way-to-set-simtool-axis-movements.230/

Grab a copy of the SimTools manual and keep it handy for reference: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/rtfm-start-with-the-official-simtools-documentation.117/

I reset axis limits to 100 after first pics. I have set it up per the manual and it worked for a week or two then simtools stopped moving in one direction no matter what I changed. I am not ruling out hardware issues but i don't understand how it all works in smc3 but not in simtools. I have tried a few different simtools v2 builds. I am at a loss

I may have it figured out. I unchecked the beta: use unicode utf-8 bit for worldwide language support and it moved both ways again. I then re-enabled it and it had deadzones again. Now to put the linkages back on and verify completely.
