    Hello friends.
in the course of a research i would like to know from you experienced sim drivers if for you (besides the immersion and driving fun of course) a motionseat has also improved the driving performance.

Are you faster or slower with a motion seat, or would you say that it takes some getting used to?
Do you see yourself at an advantage or disadvantage with motion in full-time racing?

I would be very happy about a lively participation. I'm very interested in the average opinion. Feel free to write me additional thoughts.

    thank you very much guys!

I have a better 'feel' of the car with motion, and that makes me faster, but at the same time I have to physically compensate for motion, and that is a slight distraction, though a realistic one that I would not be without.

I would have liked to see more participation. But i think what you wrote will also be the Consensus.

some sims create false motion cues - you can feel something but its not that useful - maybe good for entertainment

these motions will confuse the driver and will not make them any faster - possibly slower

I have tested a racing driver on a 6dof with only the steering wheel they were able to put in a good lap time

when the motion was added they were able to push harder and feel the car under them improving their lap times

If your intention is to get a better gaming result you are wrong with motion. Each skilled operator can adapt on any system. The key point is realistic feeling and the ability of transformation to real world.
